It looks good, but not as a cruiser, maybe as a Heavy transport thing like the Satis would a better role for it.
-
I agree with WeatherOp on this one. Those wings are wrong on a cruiser but right on a transport/gunship. :D
-
Looks great. I think it'd make a great cruiser - we need more ships with bits on, rather than countless variations on the theme of tube/box...
-
Reminds me of the HWII flak frigate.
-
Like it!!
For some reasonit makes me think of B5, Centari possibly? Good work, keep it up!
-
It's rather a transport, agreed on previous posts. The model is good, anyway.

The next version looks better.
Can you see what prediction skills I have got? :)
Joking. Timewarp.
-
feels Andorian :D

That pale blue skin really doesn't fit in with FreeSpace, I just can't see one of those fighting next to a Leviathan.
-
Just because the GTVA is in love with mostly unpainted and ugly armor, doesn't mean all the GTA succesor states have to do so.
Don't forget the GTVA is more of a federation than the GTA was, and some of the wealthier systems may still have a defense fleet of their own.
-
It rather seems a prequel to me, if I disregard the blue textures. I have no problem with the texture, but only by using a different texture can it seem a prequel ship to me. If the blue texture remains, it will be a post-Second Great War vessel.
-
not bad
-
Those are Homeworld textures...definitely Higaraan. I do hope that comment was sarcastic.

10000 With debre and turets

Looks good.
I'd agree partially with WeatherOp. Maybe not a cruiser, but a large corvette.
Maybe big enough to hold 1 or two fighter wings in it?
But yeah looking good. :D

woooaaah, dude. you should only need about 500 to pull of something like that ship there. ease up on the round bits.

OMG Prometheus MKIII !!! LOL seriously I like it. In fact, almost ANYTHING looks better then the current Prometheus (if you can see the Star Gate like similarity?) Maybe it's my subcomcious desire to see that ship destroyed for good and replaced with a new design (like these!) Through some turrets on it and lets see it kick some butt!

Personally, I reckon Prometheus looks awesome. All functional and... earthlike. I can see that being a design we would come up with were we given the technology tomorrow.

It's only 4500 in game rest don show up all at once like lod1 debrees destroyed turret

finally finished my first cruiser
-
I like it but I don't think it fits with freespace. The texture colours are too vibrant for freespace.
-
thats definitely Hiigaran, looks like the torp frigate because of the two things in the front
i like it though, and it would fit in with FS if you made it less vibrant, and if there were ships tat looked kinda like it around it
-
Dirty up the texture job (scorched bits, streaks, scratches, not so shiny) and it'll be excellent. :)

No, we'd build a matte-black sphere with weapons and thrusters pointing out at many angles to provide movement and firepower in every direction, because that is the most logical ship design.
The cruiser would look awesome with EA textures from Inferno, or the texture style of Babylon 5's EA, but the current textures are awful.
