I've been working on this since yesterday and it is my first contribution to the BSG. 6,700 polys.

Interesting design, though it looks a bit clumsy to my mind - it's all square, and then there's a round bit on the front....
That's not your fault, though - good stuff. :)

Yeah, thats what Raa said, but even the ugly ones deserve a chance too.:D

It looks like there's tons and tons of detail doing that repetitive pattern on the op of the back (don't know what it actually is) that could be done much faster and easier with a simple texture mapped onto a flat plane, with variable opacity to make it look like a grate or fence. Then all those polies can be spent on the larger, smoother sections of the hull to make it nicer.

You can probably handle the rails via transparent textures. NICELY modelled ugly ship. :)
Now to figure a way to incorporate her use in the teaser campaign story.
-
Now if I could get ahold of a paint program or someone make the three or four textures, I would texture it.

Ask Turambar... he's resourcefull with textures... If you have photoshop, it has a library of tilable textures that you can use as a base.

It looks a little goofy to me. What do they do, have boxing matches on the rear of the ship?
-
The Astral Queen is a multi-purpose cargo hauler; in the series, it is a prison ship, hauling 1500+ convicts. The ship is made for utility, not combat. The design is the BSG TV series designers', not the Mod team.

Well, you have to keep the fleet entertained somehow...

I prefer chicken fights.
