how do I get a wallpaper to stay in the list of wallpapers when i set a new wallpaper? I apologise for being a noob...unless of course it's my computer's fault.

Put it in the windows folder or something like that.

What windows version?

2k and Xp will use images from your 'pictures' folder in 'my documents'.

AFAIK, only JPG, GIF, and BMP files work... But I may be mistaken.
