Post by: Nuke on March 08, 2005, 10:50:10 am: i owed a total of $0 in taxes according to the tax tables. so i guess uncle sam can suck a big wet one and give me all my money back. its cool to live an entire year without paying the government a dime, an advantage of being dirt poor. :D

Not only that, the state of alaska pays you to live there IIRC.

i actually prefer vigalante justice, you don't have to deal with stupid stuff like due process or trial by jury.

that is assuming they accept my divedend application. mind you you have to live here > a year to collect. and be assured the state will pull every trick they know to jack you. while i recived theese before this is the first time i qualify sence i moved back from phoenix. i think of it as compensation for how much this place sucks. the average job is minimum wage wich is is about half what you need to cover the average montly rent. so if you are in your 20's or are unskilled, you can pretty much forget about living independantly. another thing, the lack of proper roadways has made merchandise hellishly expensive, as everything comes in by air or by barge. add that to the lack of women and the pisspoor weather and you have hell :D

the only way to fix this place is to recede from the union and open anwar for drilling. its amazing with how much gold and oil in this place, and yet we live in abject poverty. something is seriously wrong.

Is it muddy? You probably have the freezing cold and wet, but is it muddy, with that horrible sticky clay mud that looks like...well, crap?
