Cool!  What's inside the splits down the hull?

Oh, and I was right when I said you were showing off a bad angle before.  The teaser shot didn't nearly do it justice.

Doesn't look HTL for me, which is strange from a pro, but this doesn't mean I don't like it. This is a typical example how a non-465189762 poly ship can be nice.

The hard thing is finding quality alternatives. Sure there are plenty of alternatie maps out there, but most are rather poorly done.


I'll check DaB's pack, but I have high standards for user-made maps. ;)

that bellowed, i'm afraid i don't like em much... don't look freespacey IMO. nice models but the texturing and context doesn't fit...

That looks really good.  Its one of those ships that actually looks like its from canon FreeSpace 2.  Not something thats totally over the top and lacks the same style.

Actually, the layout of the first one reminds me much of the Phobos corvette from Inferno.  Assuming they are comparable both in size and turret coverage, I could see this (with perhaps a slight remap) as a model upgrade replacement for the Phobos.

Try 'tile1.tga'. Reduce the size to 512² and DDS it. ;)
