Oh, and a Palpatine vs. Yoda battle.

Weird question though, if the emporer is so powerful why does he need personal gaurds?

Yeah... Sandwich, those are Star Destroyer's predecessors. It's really quite obvious... also, if you look in the Guide to Vehicles and Vessels, it says Star Destroyers were first developed for the Republic.

Hopefully it won't leave me in tears of laughter like the Dooku-Yoda fight.

Which leads to the question: If the Elite Guard are so good, is it a relative "good" or an absolute "good"? Cuz I gotta say, the relative "good" ain't worth crap.

Maybe his Elite Guard is just there to make him feel more 1337, sort of like the random Sith you fight your way through in KotOR on your way to slicing open Malak.

Leia: "aren't you a little short to be a storm trooper?"
This was said without any suprise or suspicion that he actually wasn't one. if they were all clones, then there is no way he could have been one if he was shorter than the rest, so Leia should have known he wasn't, unless of course she didn't know that they were clones.

NB: the Star Wars databank doesn't say they are, and doesn't really say they aren't; http://www.starwars.com/databank/organization/stormtroopers/index.html

They're all 1.83 meters!! They've got to be clones!! :p

Nah, that's just the height requirement. Otherwise they'd have to let Ewoks apply.

I wonder if Dreadnaughts are going to make an apearance in this, because IIRC weren't they developed and brand new during the Clone Wars?
ace Windu certainly appears to have a run-in with Palpatine, which could be more than a bit interesting

So - anyone wanna give me odds that that volcanic planet is going to be Sullust?
http://www.starwars.com/databank/species/sullustan/?id=eu
It'd be cool if it was, but knowing Lucas, he'd rather just make up some random one rather than trying to link together the old movies with the new. I mean, Naboo was just crying out to be Alderaan.
Originally posted by Black WolfNaboo should've. And I want this to be Sullust too. It'd just be a little nod to something small from the original trilogy... something that wouldn't be dicking with everything we know and like.

This one's a little bit more emotional. We like to describe it as 'Titanic' in space.
Luke and Leia's characters will appear as infants in "Revenge of the Sith."

Has anyone else noticed the parallels between this and Return of the Jedi? It shows Anakin(instead of Luke) in front of a window with the space combat(specifically a Star Destroyer predecessor) in the background... The name is obviously similar... And plus the scene with a lightsaber duel between Anakin and Obiwan(I think), in front of Palpatine on his throne....

I am not really sure this is a good idea.

From what I've heard the planet is going to be 'Stennis.' KOTOR2 mentions that the Hissis come from there, and it's a planet of the ancient Sith, and I believe those are the big lizard creatures shown in the trailer.
Most likely from the few KOTOR3 rumors around Stennis is going to be a planet featured in it when it's made.
I do agree that "Naboo" should have been Alderaan. That way EPIV had a certain punch to it which wasn't there before when destroying a seemingly random planet.

Seems like a strange plan to keep her anonymous though, 'Let's give her to Alderaan's Royal family, they can make her a Princess and she can be a spy for the Rebellion!'.

Obvuiusly whilst flying your Tie Advanced in the middle of a huge combat arena is the best time to start wondering about the genaelogy of the guy you are shooting at ;)
Of course, the Jedi like ability to figure out that sending Luke to his own uncle, and not even changing his name was an awesome way of keeping his hidden ;)
As far as the trailer is concerned,
Spoiler:
I think the lightning that hits Yoda is not Sideous, I think it's Dooku. I have a suspicion that Yoda will fake his wn death. The duel is most likely ol' Dooks as well, that would be more in running with the 'tradition'.
Edit : What I would have like to have seen was Yoda defeating Dooku on Dagobah, thus explaining the cave that Luke had to enter, but that, apparently, will not happen :( [/B]
