It's what happened when I set the FOV in degrees instead of radians, IIRC. ;)

It's a shame you can't animate that; I'd imagine a transition between fovs' would be useful for someone doing the star wars or star trek warpout effects.

How do i get those effects for the backgrounds, and the 'blue' light hitting the caps (in one of them)?
What was the program you were using for.. viewing it?

All the screenshots were taken with fs2_open...the backgrounds are either from the mediaVPs or Lightspeed's nebula pack.
