I'm still adding details, but since I am the attention whore that I am, I'm posting this image looking for feedbacks.

Looks good Raa, but there is something...off...about the back.  It doesn't seem to go with the front...

Wow, looks incredible, but that rear needs some beefing up.

I like the form, but it honestly looks like two fighters fused together.  It's too long, too spindly, and the entire back end seems to lack purpose.  Excellent technique, I just don't like the end result much.

To be honest, I do, and I can not lie.

I'd actually cut the entire "tail" end off and leave it as a short and small fighter. With the right textures, it could be either Terran or Vasudan.

The idea behind it was this; It's meant to be a light, and quick, atmospheric and space fighter. The central shaft, what's being called spindly, is the main core of the ship. The wings, engines, and cocpit are attached to it in a sort of... armour suit... fashon. Meaning that the core looks to be wearing armour padding, with exposed bits here and there. unfortunately, you cannot see that too well from that one image. I may post more later on, but I am still adding detail.

I'm leaving the tail, it's been troublesome finding something that works on it, and I agree that every vessel needn't have large engines in the rear. It's different, and I like that.

Well, I do happen to like it with the tail as well. Looks to be very fast, but maybe not the mst maneuverable?

Yeah, I'm agreeing with Solatar. That seems to be the deal with atmospheric fighters these days... is this a Freespace ship, or is it for a non-canon mod?

It's just for fun. I figured the art forum wouldn't be appropriate.

I agree.  I also think that the forward wing should have the same degree of anhedral as the you've got on the rear pair.  I'm thinking that its semi-stealth (original Loki type) heavy assault, of Terran design but Vasudan influence, as is the Hecate.

My first thought was some kind of detachable intersystem jump drive, developed back before a drive small enough to fit in a fighter was created...

Looks like some sorta weird manned missile.

I LOVE IT!!! Excellent design you got there. Can't wait to see the baby textured.

Is it supposed to be an interceptor or a light bomber or what?

Love it too. Especially what you've done with the wings on the fuselage :)

The model is pretty good, but, it looks like to a Dolphin. Especially if we look properly the nose and his forward wings.

I like the idea a lot, but the wings are out of proportion to the res of it IMO. I'd say make the front wings a bit larger than the back ones - that'll make it more balanced. It's a great concept, though. Texture it!

where's that poly counter tool ?

I would make the rear end detachable, like some kind of disposable booster rocket thing.

Gorgeous work!

Design-wise, the side view seems not as interesting as all other angles. But every other angle is perfect. What color scheme are you gonna use? Military, or spacey.

Amazing, simply amazing.

If you cut off the tail, leaving just the front, you could have a great Herc 3.

Well, I was looking into making it an aerospace fighter, so I wanted sleek military. Kinda like some of those Vipers you made. But I haven't quite figured how you made those metal plates, yet.

I don't think it looks bad at all, but it is true that it does depend on what your purpose with it is.  Still, overall, it's good.  Don't know how much you can really say about a fighter.  Most people are going to like the fighter, or they won't, but where you get in depth is capital ships.  Then the detail gets out there.

Not bad work on this one, IMO.

the tail needs to be a little more swept and trailing, and the cockpit needs some geometry work, those first screens make it look to bland

It looks more like a large bomber type than a manuverable fighter. something that long with four full sized wings wouldn't be able to turn very well, and would look kind of unnatural making fast turns.

Unless it's really tiny, that's going to be about the size of a Boanerges...with about the same size target profile too.

that is a bizar thing.

bizar != bad

extreemly (fast+unmanuverable) bomber

Don't cut the tail end off!  I say it looks like a booster upgrade.  You could say that the booster add-on was created to allow the fighter to maneuver in planetary systems with very high gravity (like Jupiter-type).  But because of the tremendous increase in speed and maneuverability in normal gravity systems, it could have been adopted for more wide-spread use.

Or make 2 versions, one with the tailed chopped off and the space used for the exhaust (piss easy to change the textures that way....), and keep it as some alternate atmospheric / recon / whatever variant.
