Ok, as I have expressed before, I am putting together a group that I will be teaching lightwave to.

I am going to be putting it together on tuesdays nights, at 6 pm est time.

It will be on IRC, on twisted.ma.us.dal.net

in channel #Lightwaves (Cause I couldn't think of anything better) :P

So if you are interested, have your copy of lw 6.5, adobe photoshop, and IRC ready tommorow night.

If you have lw6, you should be able to do about everything, especially the basics, but you will have to probably search a little for some of the commands, and some of the more advanced stuff, I will have to work with you on an individual basis. Any version of Photoshop should work fine, as long as it is new enough to have a history panel, layer panels, etc....so 5.0 +

Also, my ICQ is 4113071 if you need to get ahold of me. THe first session will basically be about explaining the termonology of Lightwave, the principles of 3-d design, atc, so to bring everyone up toa place where they will understand what I am talking about.

For the first actual project, I am thinking of creating the podfighter, so everyone will learn how to do that.

You are also welcome to join if you have Max ro any other rendering program, assuming you have enough practicle experience with your rendering program to be abe to figure out it's versions of what I am doing. And the texturing and creating the textures should work great for anyone with Photoshop.

I think that is about midnight then, EST is -5 GMT, as Shrike has explained to me, since I seem to be an idiot in matters of time :P

so yeah I think that is around midnight, on a side note, Shrike has agreed to take our sessions and create a tutorial based webpage covering all of the same things, and I will also be available in #lightwaves on IRC as often as I can, hopefully whenever I am online, which is quite often, so between those two things, I should be able to help everyone out.

I might create a second class, later in the week at a contrasting time, covering the same things, so more people can attend who are in europe, or on different schedules etc.

You can do a search for mIRC on yahoo.com just download the newest version and connect to twisted.ma.us.dal.net port 6667 in the connection options.
