Whedon [SNIP] helped write the script for Alien: Resurrection, featuring the E.T.-battling Sigourney Weaver.

Well that just gave me a 700% drop in respect for the man.

...I liked Resurrection. Its not like the Aliens series is exactly Shakespeare, so the movie did it's job well: namely, to entertain.

The movie turned to utter ****e in the last 20 minutes. Up till then it was okay but if you're telling me you liked the end of Resurrection I'm going to make sure the men are on the way with the big butterfly net cause you're obviously criminally insane.

I thought Resurrection was the best one. In fact it's the only one I particularly like, though the director's cut of Alien 3 isn't too bad.

I'M CRAZEH

I dunno. It was okay, I guess, but I found most of it kinda boring to be honest... though not quite as boring as Alien, which I only rehired and watched the rest of it after hearing how good it was, and assumed I missed something awesome (which evidently I do not believe I did).

Clearly I am quite mad! TEA SIR?

But thats what MADE the franchise. The first one was class! It was meant to be kinda slow and claustrophobic.

Aliens is one of camerons best movies. Full on species clash. Great action movie.

The 3rd I didnt think was as bad as most bashed it for but just didnt seem to work.

And then Resurrection. What was it supposed to be? There was no action, no suspense, no atmosphere. Just the bizzarre plotline that involved riply bumping uglies with the alien queen.

GGGGGRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Just glad they never released an uncut version.

I know what Alien was meant to be. I just didn't find it enjoyable, since it wasn't scary at all, nor particularly exciting except for the chestburster bit. And as for Aliens, I just don't really like action movies. Though, I don't like the theatrical version of Alien 3 - the director's cut thingo was much better, same with Resurrection. The reason I like Resurrection is because of its weird story.
