Greetings all -
This is a little off-topic, but I thought I'd ask anyway. How many of you B5-fans would be interested in joining a club that replicates being a member of the Earthforce?
Basically, the club would be formed on the military model of the EF, with thinks like an order of battle, ranks, promotions and awards for doing activity like creating missions & campaigns, writing fiction, webpages, graphics etc. The main platform would be of course the most recent release of TBP. The structure would be split into those Officers who command ships and then pilots.
If anyone is familiar with Star Wars clubs like the Emperor's Hammer, Galactic Empire etc, it'd be similar to that.

Ok seems you're all a bit shy :P
I've constructed a very basic "pilot's manual" which begins the overview of what I'm talking about - it's located at: http://www.btinternet.com/~spellfire/3_pm.html (http://www.btinternet.com/~spellfire/3_pm.html)
If you have any questions or would be interested in joining/helping out, please post below or PM me.
Thanks.

Humm... at least TBP seems to be some fun to you, which is probably the important part. :D
-
Sounds interesting and the site is nice too. :)
-
Yup, excellent idea and nice site, keep up good work. Personally I'm a member of the "Squadron 303" (playing both FS2 and TBP in multiplayer) but I'm sure that this club will be a perfect base for community of TBP players.

Hey, Spell, I sent PM to you ;)
-
Does seem like an interesting idea :)
-
It does.. I only wish that the guy/gal would check his/her PM for a change and answer my questions :p :)

Hey Psycoo - this is pretty much be exactly what Squadron 303 is (I think, I don't speak Polish), but on a larger scale with some different facets to it to make the experience as realistic to EF as possible. The whole thing was just an idea I had sitting around for quite a few years actually, but never got around to working on it. Having re-watched B5 on DVD recently got me inspired again.

Sorry Primus, this forum doesn't seem to tell you when you've got a PM :P
I'll reply ASAP.

Sounds interesting maybe ill join

I really should clarify something - this idea is in it's extreme infancy - I was just seeing who'd be interested. I really need people to help me get it all set-up: this means coming up with rank/position descriptions, medals, uniforms etc. I'm working on getting a main site database up soon.
So if you're still interested, please PM me.

The setting may be disabled in user profile. However, I know PM' do not often work for me either.

Sounds interesting, I may join once it gets started up :)

To those of you who are interested, I'd greatly appreciate it if you could register that interest on the following forum:
Proxima Fleet Forum (http://www.phpbbplanet.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=11&mforum=primusnovaforum)
It'd also be helpful to say if you're looking to join once it's all up and running, or if you're also interested in helping to actually set it up - if so, list any skills you might have such as HTML, database building, graphics etc.
Incidentally, if you want to speak to me, I'm on MSN (urielventris[at]btinternet.com).
