Title: Random Multiplayer Crashes

I finally fixed my hacked tables problem. Unfortunately, multiplayer loves to crash, even without hacked tables. I've gotten it to work once out of about five times. It'll randomly crash during loading a mission. Is there a log file or something that can help me? I'm using the 2005-01-03 build, is there a later one or something?

It's odd that you're getting that to crash. I've always found it to be highly stable. You're not using mv_zpack.vp or mv_music.vp with it without the music.tbl patch are you?

(I wouldn't the crashes you'd get from doing that random though).

I already disabled zpack by moving it into another folder, moving mv_music.vp would fix it then?

It's a pretty good bet. Were all the crashes when missions were being loaded? Cause that's a pretty good sign of the problem.

Having the same missions work while others always crashed while loading is the other.

Installation Dogfight - Heavy Fighter crashed twice. The only one I got working was Asteroid Dogfight - Heavy Fighter. The person I was playing with got sick of the crashing so I don't know if any others worked or not.

Also, when I'm playing single-player, should my FPS drop to 4 when a Fenris is on-screen?

If you're using mv_models.vp and you have a fairly low end PC I wouldn't be surprised.

 Download this (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/karajorma/freespace/Downloads/Kara_Low_Poly_Models.rar)  file. Extract it and put it in your main folder. It should improve your FPS with the fenris and Leviathan.

As for the crashes how is it working in single player mode?
