I'm currently in Florida with my crew team, doing some preseason training over our spring break. The other day, coach laid down the law and said that in the morning, for every minute that you were late to practice, you'd row 1000 meters on the erg. Well, this morning my alarm goes off at 7am. First words through my head: Oh s***. I thought I had set it for 6am. Practice started at 6:30. I got dressed as quickly as I could and sprinted down to the docks, making it there by 7:04. My prize? 34000 meters on the ergometer after practice. Luckily, coach thought that 34k was a bit extreme so he cut it down to 20k. It took me a bit over 90 minutes to finish the whole thing and I now feel like I could go to sleep and never wake up again. And I've got practice starting again in an hour. Sweet. [/end rant]

Home, finally, and no practice this weekend. :) This morning we did a 1500m race and one of the guys in my boat caught a crab about halfway through. The oar handle snapped around and caught him in the chest, knocking him out of the boat. He was okay, so it was pretty funny. He got clocked in the back of the head by another oar though, so it could've been ugly.

Indeed you are.

Um.... yeah.... :nervous:
There's little better than a good hard workout, though - you always feel great afterwards. You might be in crippling pain, but it feels good. ;)

There are 3 types of punishment in the world. Execution, physical pain, and personal humiliation.(sp) I prefer the later.

I dunno. Perhaps I'm a bit of a massochist, but I loooove the cramping pain you get the next day after a good workout :p Feels so good.

Just 12? How long are the laps?
My team has to do things called poles. Right field foul pole to left field foul pole to right field foul pole.
Thats one(1).
Now do that 10-15 times.
