Title: TGA troubles

I'm trying to make a mission in FRED with some ships with TGA textures and it keeps crashing, but I've enabled JPEG and TGA textures in the FreeSpace Open Laucher.  WTH?????

1) you need to use the newest fred build: http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,31451.0.html

2) Create a shortcut to the new fred on your desktop, view its properties, and add "-jpgtga" to the end of the first edit box, you may also want to add "-fredhtl" as well.

3) run

Now its telling me its having issues with "Requires GL_EXT_etc....
Now what?

Did someone add that function recently, or what? We've only recently started getting that error, but at least three people have reported having it.

Could this have something to do with the sphere-draw function that Taylor was cringing about in the Linux forum?

no.  GL_EXT_DRAW_RANGE_ELEMENTS has to do with something i haven't looked at in a while, mainly the graphics code.  

Edit: Its a relatively old spec, dating back to 1997.  Don't know why it wouldn't be supported
