Title: More Fred issues
Post by: Boomer on March 28, 2005, 12:43:02 pm
Now I'm getting an error message about OpenGL.  How do I make it use the Direct3D renderer engine?

I'm really getting tired of these errors!:hopping:

I seem to be having the same problem when I use The Babylon Project's FRED that comes with release three - any help here would also be great as it also gives me Open GL error messeges >.<.

You can't make it use D3D. I have the same problem. My OGL driver is too old, but I can use the TBP FRED.

EDIT: What error message?

I believe I read something about there being an openGL error caused by it only reading the last digit of the version number.

In other words it wants something higher than version 1.0 so anything ending in a 1 or higher qualifies. If you've installed the OpenGL 2.0 drivers however it thinks that's 1.0 and complains.

I'm not certain if this has been fixed yet but check the recent builds forum for a topic called FRED?

BTW bug reports for FRED should be in the SCP forum not here. Some programmers don't even read this forum.
