Title: Question about making ships

What tools do you guys use to make ships for freespace?  I'm interested in learning how.  Where do I need to go to start?

That entry is no where near detailed enough. It only mentions a couple of programs and I know for a fact that I copied my  FAQ's guide into the wiki at one point.

It's great to see new modder's entering the community.
If you get the hang of things soon enough, post some screens in here or in the art thread.
Then  join a project team and help finish off a mod. :D

I can't edit the Wiki.  I want to update the modeling FAQ but it just keeps prompting me to sign in.

I'd add a link to that from the modeling/modding page.  And if you're doing that, PM me so I can send you the changes I want to make as well.

Yeah, that's the major flaw of the wiki, everyone gets the same bug. I think someone was working on fixing it.

Otherwise it would be filled with 2x the content.
