Title: So, as long as we're here...
Post by: Blitzerland on April 03, 2005, 05:00:13 pm
...'cause we've been stuuuuuck heeeere in the dark, for way to loooooong....

Meh. D' anyone know a good program to use for texturing, other than TrueSpace?

I've tried posting this is the modding forum before, but it always tends to go by unnoticed...or ignored because it's probably a stupid question. That, and everyone's clustering in this forum, awaiting news, anyway.

And a cookie to whoever identifies the quote at the top.

I've been making my models using Blender, then saving them as .cob, but I just can't figure out/handle TrueSpace.

I've heard 3D Studio Max can do it all, but I can't afford the dang thing, and I don't want some 30-day trial. I want to use it longer than that.

Then do what the rest of us did to get it.

Open a lemonade stand? :nervous:

I think I know what you mean, actually...but I'm hesitant to do something illegial, especially since I often preach of the evils of "illegial downloads."

Gah, I give up. Modeling obviously isn't my thing. It's all...too complicated.

you can find an .md3 exporter if you look for it. You don't even have the get the Quake 3 gamepack since it's a standalone exporter.

I'm just gonna focus on FREDing. My dream campaign is almost done, and I'm also helping nuclear out with his GTI Rebellion campaign a tiny bit, although I'm probably only going to do two missions, and just help with playtesting and maybe music.

Lithunwrap might help :)

I personally do all my modeling and UV mapping/texture applying in Milkshape 3D, a $20 dollar program. It's very good, extrordinarilly powerful for the price, and you get a full featured 30 day trial :)

Well sometimes "subtlety" doesn't always "work". :p

Translation: Sometimes arse-kissing doesn't always please a man.

Deepblue doesn't accept warez, if he sees it done he even threatens folk who could probably IP rape him. ;)
