Thought FS could use some wiki lovin, and derek the opposite.

Well, I think Derek Smart's article sufficiently diminishes him.
Now to "update" Freespace's...

I happened to be walking through CompUSA the other day, when I spotted a familiar-looking package. The name read "Battlecruiser Millenium"; I picked it up and took a look. Some odd features, however, what most struck me were the graphics. Pixelated, they looked as if they'd come out of Starsiege. So I took a look at the Copyright: 2003.
2003.
In 2003, the source code project had far better graphics.
In 1999, FS2 had better graphics.
What's even more worrying is that the pictures on the package must have been the best the game and universe had to offer, to help it sell better.

Well, that's Derek Smart. After all, a game doesn't have to have any sort of quality to it. It simply has to "make money and be fun", as I remember the alpha-male of the year saying himself.

Don't insult Starsiege like that. It has much nicer graphics then BC: Millenium.
Earthsiege II, maybe.

I don't think that's an appropriate place to put that. Freespace is a noteworthy addition, to be sure, but do we really need to introduce people to Dr. Smart before they actually play a space sim?

Yeah, there's no need to publicize DS. He does enough of that himself.
