i just got KOTOR! w00t! it's fun as hell, and i finally got to the sewers to find the bad guy base to find the accelerator. BUT I FOUND THE RANCOR!!! RUN FER YER DAMN LIVES!!!
seriously, can someone help me with it?
-
Try dropping a large and heavy metal door on its head.
EDIT: Bloody hell.
-
blast it. every other thread has a time warp as the beginning of it.
-
Cobra, how much spoilage do you want?
-
wha? i tried to beat it like 5 times.
-
get the odor sticks or whatever and put em in the thing on the floor in the rancor's room
-
i was thinking about using the stealth belt, since Mission says "Rancors aren't very bright", but it probably wouldn't work.
-
Okay, here the quick and dirty of it:
Get the odor sticks
Place 1 said odor stick + 1 frag grenade in the corpse pile
when you press ok on that menu you will be treated to a short cutscene of the rancor strolling over the corpse pile grabbing what you put in there and then dying when the grenade blows his guts into mush.
Can a mod please alter the title of the thread to reflect that this thread now has spoilers in it?
-
Thread title edited. Man, KOTOR... my brother-in-law keeps on pestering me to get it on our Xbox, but I just know it'll suck up my life...
-
Nah, I managed to keep it down to 4 hours a night. And you can use it to put the moves on you're new woman. :D

*cue lightsaber==phallic joke*

"Hey baby, ever seen a glowing purple one before?"
-
"Tonight, we're leaving the lights off!"
-
*phew*
After 4 tries, I finally got past the Vulkar Lieutenant and his gang of buddies, and got to the garage, where my team died a horrible death. I wonder what would have happened if I said "I always wanted a Wookie slave!"? :drevil: maybe i should go over to the dark side when i finish the game. :drevil:
-
Anything you say to party members won't affect your dark side or light side points.
Keep something in mind: Your light/side dark side balance takes effect on the force points you have to spend for light or dark side powers. Let's say you are completely on the Dark side. Then a Force Drain costs only 10 force points instead of 20. But a Healing(Light side power) costs 50 instead of 25.
-
heh, yeah.
right now i'm trying to keep Carth from going insane on me. :shaking:
-
It will never happen.
Whatever you say to your party members, it will not affect their attitude towards you. Only once or twice, but you will experience them yourself. They''re easy tp notice.
-
he goes berserk and leaves?

How do you know that?
-
what, it really happens? i just guessed. :nervous:
-
You will see. Needless to say, it will only happen if you end up on the dark side, which, from what you had written, is your intention.
-
after i beat the game as light side. i always do that with light side vs. dark side games. first i go with the good guys, then i go over to the dark side, then i do something in between :D

But it does happen, though.

If you talk to them when they are not your party members, yes. Let's take Juhani's example.

No, you can get Dark side points for insulting Carth on Taris, for example. There's not a massive amount of opportunities, but they are there. IIRC you can apparently tell Zaalbar to kill Mission as well (using Force Persuade, albeit).

depending on your chartacter's gender and the conversation options you chose, he may actually fall for you're character. He is a good support character in a fight too cause it kinda gets crowded with a bunch of jedi all trying to hack one character

That would be on the unknown planet, right before the Star Forge. Mind you, you then are forced to kill Zaalbar, and you'll have already killed Juhani and the old guy. Sadly, you can't kill Carth as he runs off. Coward...
-
So if you dark side it you are left with the droids as party members?
-
isnt the driod darkside anyway?
-
son of a *****...
i dress as a tusken raider and they still attack me. time for a new tactic: SONIC GRENADE ATTACK!
-
Put your lightsaber away and arm yourself with the Gaffi stick. Do the same for all party members.
-
You have to dress al your non-droid party members in the raider outfit.
Don't talk to anyone! That will reveal you.
You gotta have HK-47 (is that homage to hitman?) with you.
-
Zaalbar is obviously excluded. Do not have him with you. Take Canderous and Juhani(if you haven't killed her before).
Anyway:
Buying HK-47 isn't worth at all. I only had it with me only once. It was the first party member I lost. Rather solve the Tusken problem in a combative way, you get more experience points. Surprisingly, you don't get any Light Side points if you solve it in a peaceful way. Tuskens will continue to attack you despite anything you do.
-
I have 2 lightsabers, and 2 double lightsabers. :D I kill 20 tuskens and no gaffi's.
and HK-47 rocks. :D
-
You meatbag you!
-
yeah hk was one of my favorites

HK-47, Canderous, Bastilla, and T3-M4 are your party members after the Temple if you go Dark Side, so you still have about half your party.
-
I always though T3 was a bigger hardass than HK-47. HK is just funny as hell.
-
lol, yeah, he refers to all "organic beings" as "meatbags"

T3 gets better in KOTOR2.
[Bao-Dur]Utility droids develop personality quirks when they haven't had a good memory wipe, General.[/Bao-Dur]

i liked Bao-Dur's remote,
especially when you use him near the end:p
-
Yes, that was a really well resolved story thread at the end......
-
HK-47 became one of my deadliest gunman - even Carth the blaster pistol king or Canderous the testosterone fed biggun lover couldn't compare to his magnificance.
...+with the infinite droid attachments you can get on Yavin Station he becomes a hell of a supporter instead a mere gundroid.

HK-47 now comes equipped with a Mandalorian Heav Repeater. ;7
