Post by: Turnsky on April 13, 2005, 07:23:35 am
got World of Warcraft, and have been playing it a bit today..

Started out with a NightElf Druid Called Takahn, so far, it's been pretty awesome, a rather nice foray into MMORPGs.. ;)

so, who else plays WoW here?

Not me. :P

You'll never catch me anywhere near an MMORPG.....

At least, not till I can afford it. Till then, I'll stick to open betas like Navyfield...or.....damn......

ah screw it. I wish I had free time for stuff like this :(

actually, it's rather cheap for me, prepaid, $39.95 per gamecard for sixty days. (let's not forget that the first month be free)

Meh. 39.95 is pretty damn expensive if it's just for the gamecard. Or does it include the game itself?

Either way, no time for MMORPG's. Not if im expected to FRED and do anything else at the same time....yet, I so sorely wish I could play one just to keep up with some of the conversations at work :P

I will only by a MMORPG if there is no monthy fee. i just don't feel like paying hundreds of dollars for a game.

I'm guess its AUS$39.95, which makes it fairly cheap actually.

I hope to get the game someday... When that happens, I hope to get hand outs of cool stuff from all the people I know that have been playing it for ages. :p

The only MMORPG game i might try out is EVE online. Heard great things about it. There´s a free 14 day Trial at Gamespot. I think i´ll give it a go.
Space and Beyond seems to be good too, but too expensive. Damn those money grabbers!!

Gamespot has a 14 day trial? nifty. I'll have to try that when I've got more free time.

And I can't seem to decide on what kind of char I want, so far my highest lvl characters are a lvl 18 dwarf hunter and a lvl 17 orc warrior. I play on Medivh, if anyone cares.

Problem with EVE is it's great when you first start but after a while you get tired of waiting several hours to move from one destination to the next, with absolutely nothing to fill the time.

At some point I might have a go at WoW, but I doubt it'd last long against Clan Lord/Arindal, the only MMORPG(s) I've managed to keep an interest in for more than a couple of months.

The only online game i really play anymore is Shattered Galaxy.  Lot's of fun, and is free with a few extras for payers.

Nothing else really caught my interest except Earth and Beyond, which i guess died.

May give EVE online a try though.

EA cancelled Earth and Beyond altogether.

Apparently, someone wrote an ingame porn-browser.

Uh? Then what happened to all the people who paid money to play? I know they weren´t that many to start with, but still...
Did they refund everybody? What a fiasco...

They'd presumably refund them any months they'd prepaid; albeit isn't this stuff done by direct debit nowadays?

I have been playing SG off and on since Beta.  Usually for a few months  at a time as certain things worked out.  I've currently been playing for about a month, ever since i got my Cable modem.

I worship the cable... i worship the cable....
