there is now a new release of desktop freespace (V1.60) available here:

the new release includes a debris system so maras dont just disappear when you shoot them.
the reason for the delay in the 1.75 release is due to constant troubles in storing values for the highscore system (values store as values, strings store as values :confused:  )
