There are two parts in the Raider Wars voice acting script which are down as needing a "different actor per sample". These are part 33 the Bradbury escape pod damaged / death samples, and part 31 the Gibraltar evacuation shuttles.
I don't have many samples for these parts. If you have the spare time please consider submitting samples for as many of the lines below as possible. I have asked our regular voice actors to participate but I'm aware that they all have other parts and in order to avoid possible player deja vu I'm throwing this open to the wider community also.
The lines for part 41 are:
rw 41 001
Rescue shuttle 6 on final approach. Be ready. There's more behind me and we're in a hurry.
rw 41 002
Rescue shuttle 7 coming in fast.
rw 41 003
Rescue shuttle 8 on final approach. Head count confirms Gibraltar is deserted. Evacuation complete.
The lines for part 33 are:
rw 33 001
Mayday. We're under attack.
rw 33 002
Help us! They're killing us!
rw 33 003
Please help us! Please!
rw 33 004
Help, they're shooting at us!
rw 33 005
For god's sake, we have women and children onboard!
rw 33 006
No!!!
rw 33 007
We're breaking up!!!
rw 33 008
It's hot!!! I'm burning!!!
rw 33 009
I don't want to die!!!
rw 33 010 This is it!!!
There's the opportunity to have a bit of fun with the role 33 lines. Basically you're playing the part of a civilian in a life pod being shot at by Raiders. In the first 5 samples you're escape pod is getting badly damaged. In the last five you're escape pod is about to explode or in the process of exploding. The lines above are the ones I wrote but I'm just as happy to take alternative lines if you can think of betters ones. Naturally I'll be adding explosion effects to the samples I use to make them sound more convincing.
Please note the information on how to record samples in the Raider Wars voice acting thread. Then send your samples to You can email your samples to [email protected]. These roles will be uncredited.

Not quite as funny when you know where it comes from.

This voice acting is crazy.

Last words of a Russian cosmonaut who's craft burned up during re-entry, and crazy how so PSI Killer? I don't see amiss what you see amiss?

Which cosmonaut was this? :wtf:
Aside from never hearing of this before now, I think this is unlikely to have taken place. A space capsule burning up on re-entry would be surrounded by so much ionized air that it would be unable to send any sort of radio transmission.

Take it or leave it as you see fit.

I have a little suggestion.
When the life pods are shot or destroyed you could mix more than one of the voices together.
One loud (the guy directly at the microphone or whatever used) and others more in the background, maybe some screems too.
There are supposed to be more than one person in a life pod right?
And don't play out the "destroyed sounds" completely. Let the connection break before. Like "I don't want to ... bzzzzzzzzzzzzz".

Good suggestion.

May I suggest that to increase dramatic effect, some of those voices could be children, if possible? Unfortunately, my kids are too shy to act (especially in English) for the job.
This may sound a bit harsh... but so's the situation in the pods.
