Title: Printers and Memory Problems
Post by: vyper on April 19, 2005, 01:10:33 pm
Alrighty gents get yer nappers around this one:

I've got an HP 1215 PSC, she's a fine printer and can do just about everything bar replicate coffee. Unfortunately whenever I try to print a file over roughly 8-10MB these days, Windows just sits there continually "Printing" and never actually sending anything to the printer.

Any thoughts on how to get past this? I thought it might be memory available to the spool service that was the problem but I can't see a away to force more to be allocated to it.

Go to Windows control panel, printer setup. Most printer drivers include options to either spool documents or transfer them directly to the printer. Try and change these options, it often helped me with similar problems in the past.

Also try removing and reinstalling the printer from your printers window. Sometimes things in windows just stop working.
