Today a friend of mine showed me some problems with which he's torturing his exercise group (he's an assistant on the math department).
They're about mathematical sequences....and it seems the math assistants do these things in their coffee breaks just for ****s'n'giggles.
So here goes:
a) Continue this sequence (a rather 'traditional' example for warming up)
1, 3, 7, 12, 18, 26, 35, 45, 56, 69, ...
b) Why are those numbers in this particular order ?
1 22 24 12 3 4 13
c) Continue this sequence (that's my favourite, I felt really dumb after he told me the solution)
3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 14, 18, 20, 24, ....
A cookie to whoever figures the last one out.
