Photoshop is simply amazing. I love it!! :D

These are for whatever i decide they will be. OSC stands for Operational Space Command, a special ops agency.

I like both, but the golden one looks more "real", don´t you think?

The golden one doesn't exactly match with the blue. Chang the color of the words, though, and you've got a winner :yes:

the first one sucks, its way to grainy and hard to tell whats going on. The other 2 i like, both work but i think the first is to obvious, the last one i like the most, it gives that dark special op's feel you say the logo standa for. :nod:

The Crown above the shield and Planet in the last two makes it look stupid. Otherwise, they are all quite excellent.

As for the crown, maybe change the gradient colour? Or try a pattern or something...

By using several custom object layers, and using some of the  default styles that i tweaked to my liking. It´s very easy once you get the hang of it.

Definitly leave the shield in place - that's an excelent memento to classical heraldy and any decent emblem about a defence/protective organisation should have it.

As for the crown - you should leave it out of the general design.
The same goes for the stars around the shield.

IMHO simply the leaves under the shield with Earth's emblem on it would be better as the general emblem of the organisation.

About the emblem - you should consider moving the sun behind the planet. The GTA emblem was the Earth with the rising sun. This could be ealy achieved by skewing the sun a bit.

More on the stars around the emblem. - for the emblem or/sign of officers their rank could be shown in this fashion.
More on the crown - different units could have different things added to the emblem to signify their character. One unit could be the kings with such an emblem - another could have a jester hat (Jokers - a black-ops unit.)

By the way when I typed that I didn't understand the difference between Photoshop and Paintshop.

I do now, and yeah okay I get it theoretically.

Still....hmmmmm

Tutorial would be nice to practise with.

I´m not the right person to write tutorials, as i´m learning myself. My advice is to get at it and spend a few hours playing around with the settings. Eventually you will get to something you´ll like.
Just don´t give up if at first you don´t succeed.
