well not neccesarily ww2 but ive never really been a fan of command and conquer

 that looks pretty good kami

Empire Earth II should be called Rise of Nations 2.

Anyone expecting to find something close to the original will be dissapointed, unless they liked Rise of Nations for reasons obvious to any that have played the game in question.

I don't have Rise of Nations but I played the demo and it was quite a good game. Yeah, I may get EE2... once school's out, I think.

Eh, I take back what I said about EEII. I just played the demo and thought it was rather poor. The weather's overdone, the interface isn't too great, and I couldn't figure out how to capture the other guy's territory.

I don't know if it is exactly an RTS, but the Combat Mission (http://www.battlefront.com/) series are the finest WWII tactical games ever, IMO. Not real time, but "WeGo" in increments of one minute. Theres a free demo of CMAK, the latest in the series, you can try and see if you like.

If you like that one, you might consider Sudden Strike 2 and/or Blitzkrieg.
I hate those, but that´s because I suck at tactical games :D

You have to build a town hall (I think that's what it's called, nevertheless, your main building) and a fortress. In later epochs I believe you have to build other buildings as well. Check the encyclopedia.

Yes! Combat Mission! Excellent WW2 game. I have CMBO and CMBB and they're both very very good. The CM series are kind of turn-based meets RTS games. www.battlefront.com

There's that WW2 RTS game made by 1C (the developers of the IL2 series), using a modified IL 2 Sturmovik engine. :)

Ah, maybe that's it... I tried accessing the encyclopedia but it didn't want to work...

Anyway, yeah you were right. Although, I liked the Rise of Nations demo a lot... thought it was much better than this one.
