I know it needs turrets.

There's something structurally wrong with it, I think it needs some downwards swoopy things like the Hecate.

Also, any texturing help on any models ("http://www.fattonys.com/models.htm") would be helpful.

Uh, Shrike. IP ban?

First of all, the smoothing factor in your render is too high; the central bulge looks smoothed out far too much. Try taking it down to about 5-10 degrees.
Also, try to make it less symetrical, both in the top/bottom and the front/back axis's.

EDIT: This looks like the perfect ship for this suggestion - give it well defined decks (lights and floor lines) in the texturing...

You really need to develop a really good idea of what you're planning to build before you even sit down at the computer. From what I've seen the vast majority of your models are just simple shapes stuck onto each other in various combinations. I don't think you're really spending enough time working up origional and interesting geometry. This looks like it took you about fifteen minutes to make the end shape, duplicate it and flip it over, and put a blob in the middle. If you really want to impress people, take a look at the kind of origional detail that PSYCHO or Venom (among many other people)'s models have and shoot for that.
