There's never really been a true hi-poly modelview. All there is is a patch that'll take it up a notch... and I think you might be able to grab it on Karajorma's FAQ page. Not sure about the link.

^the modview there is able to field Omni's 14 000 poly galaxy model AND it's 4096 res textures. :p

Yeah, but it won't take Bob's Herc with textures; all it'll do with that is wireframe or solidity.

Probably because it only reads PCX. ;)

Yarr - DaBrain's right. It will still only accept 256 colour PCX textures. :(
ATM, finding and increasing the right numbers is about all i can do in terms of C++ code.

That stuff - more texture formats etc - will have to wait till i actually learn how to do that, but that's assuming that no one else does so before me, and in any case, Kazan's PCS 2 should be out by then. :D


But! you were talking of a high-poly modview, and that's exactly what it is. :p

If someone wants to make decent PCX textures for that thing, be my guest. All I'll do is open them up in Irfanview and downsample them to 256 colors. :p
