Can't help about your MSN problem though.
-
well thanks anyways , i appreciate it ;7

Azureus is good too if you've got the RAM for it.
-
Shareaza does BT, eDonkey, and Gnutella / Gnutella2... So I use that.

I use Azureus myself. It is rather resource-heavy, but it's a very capable program.
-
I don't know why you're saying that, really. I run azureus on a 1ghz comp with 256mb ram, and I don't really get any slowdowns even after 2 weeks of the computer running, with azureus.
or maybe I actually know how to tune the system for better performance?
-
lol i got a friend at the univeristy that used azureus and administrators at school accused him one day scanning the schools entire network, while he was using it to download a tvshow

Agreed - using it, too.
-
BitComet and never had a problem with it.

I guess it could have looked for other clients on the LAN too :o
Probably can be tuned not to do so...I use Azureus too.

I use it too. Azureus rocks. Although I don't ues it too often, but it gives me better speeds than most FTPs.
The number of companies setting up a BT tracker for their downloads is increasing.
BT is the future. ;)
BTW Azureus needs much ram? I never noticed that... but I don't care on the other hand. I got 1,5 GB Ram, so I think I will never have problems with Azureus. :)

i've herad bitcomet is also good..
-
I like BitComet right now, and I used to use Bittornado, which is a nice step up from the stock BT client.

I don't know about you, but I find that it does slow my system down, and I have a 3-ghz P4 with HT and 512 megs of RAM. And I'll be damned if I know how to tweak my machine. :p

I've heard that Azureus works far better with older versions of Java, as the older versions of JRE weren't so much of a resource whore as the newer ones.
-
/*reason #4376 why Java sucks*/
-
Azureus here.
-
I like BitLord, actually. They seem to have programmed their client to dynamically adjust settings on the fly to maximize download rates. I found it to be consistently faster than Azureus (which I used to swear by).
-
one more vote for Bitcomet

Azureus is the best feature and performance wise with cost of higher system resource usage.
