Does that shape remind you of anything? Like maybe a famous historical symbol, usually displayed on large banners overlooking crowds of marching soldiers?
Hmm...

Hmm...
If it were blockier, it would really be a swastika(sp?)
In its current shape, it reminds me a piece of Predator equipment, probably a disc-like something.
-
Also useable as rather handy ninja weapons..

At this point, I'm asking myself did I expect anything less, and the honest answer is no. Good show Thunder, good show.

-
throwing those looks kind of awkward, imo.
-
Nice shade of white as well.
-
Hehe, several people commented on that in the engadget article...
@Gustavo, yeah before the Nazis used it the swastika was a symbol for the sun and peace and extremely positive.
Just for fun:

I can't believe you posted that...

Kalf, can I just say that is the most ridiculously huge Shuriken I've ever seen in my life! Looks like she stole a Spinner from a Street-racing articulated lorry!
-
Or a ride on mower blade. :p
Lol at Rictor's find. Rather strange co-incidence.
-
The "Symbol for peace" swasticka went in the opposite direction though IIRC.
-
it's spelled "sieg heil", btw. sieg means "victory", heil means "hail".
as is, it looks like an AYB reference.
-
Shouldn't it be "Heil! Zieg!" then?
-
Nope, it's another language. Not all languages are the same with the succession of words as English. I'm sure a one of our German representatives will chime in soon. I know Spanish doesn't sometimes. Now if only I could come up with an example.
Oh well, you'll just have to imagine. :p
I really dislike Microsoft. Why did they have to enter the console market? They don't have enough to rule the world yet?
I can't believe you had the balls to post that Deepblue! The swatstika is also used in Japan at some temples I believe. It's called a manji there. Remember that level in Zelda?
-
Yeah, it's a religious symbol, though it's facing the other way. The first time I walked into a museum and saw a huge state of Buddha with a swastika on the base, I got pretty freaked out.
-
Pretty much every Buddhist shrine I saw when I was in Malaysia (several dozen during my stay) had a lit swastika on it.

En espanol, adjectives follow subjects rather than lead them.
Example = Casa Blanca
Same in Russian.

Yes that's it! Derf! How could I forget something like that?

She's cosplaying Sasuke of Naruto... and yes, he has one that big. I was trying to find a picture of him with it but so far had no luck, she was the next best thing ;)
Edit: Strike that, I found the picture :D

A lot of the older churches (i.e Christian) in europe etc have swastikas as part of the design as well, IIRC. Amiens Cathedral, for example, has a floor designed of tiled swastikas.

the swastika itself is a symbol of peace, and is far, far older than the third reich :doubt:
anywho, the controller's nice, at least they didn't depart too far away from the design of the originals
-
Those controlers don't even look like a svastika right now...they look likea shuriken, a flower, a windmill, a wrench or a dozen other stuff..
Even if it looked like a svastike I couldn't care less..
Svastika DOES NOT EQUAL evil... it's a simbol that has many menings and to those who scream "natzi!, remove it!" Is say shtu your pie hole!
-
*whoosh*
-
all hail asea (or asea brown boveri as it's called nowadays), thy they had the swastika as a logo up until the 1930's.
there are still a few of elevators et.c. around with that logo.
which is somewhat ironic, seeing as the schindler group is a really big elevator manufacturer...
-
That advert is probably just the result of microsoft's viral marketing department. I reckon they made it look like a swastika so it would get spread round message boards and discussed...
-
lol!
Actually the point was that it goes 360* around... You can find similar pictures with the console.
-
You do realise you are completely overanalysing and seeing things that aren't there right?
-
 This thread is great. Nazi Gates is selling his 'Zig Heil box'. ^^
I'm impressed how popular 'Naruto' became btw. ;)
-
I was joking...
