it's actually my clan, with charismatic hosting me. :D
-
And what exactly would a clan for a single-player only RPG do?
-
have a race to see who can beat the game fastest?
-
maybe. ;)
-
[/sarcasm]
-
duh.
basically what you do there is talk about hints, tips, cheats, what to do, etc.
-
There's plenty of stuff in the universe to discuss. And a lot of replayability.
That said, I've been warned to stay away from KOTOR by my brother-in-law. Apparently it'll consume my life once I begin to play it. :p
-
give in to the KOTOR withing you. :p

yeah its got that addicting manner even for non-star wars enthusists, but eddie sounds like the self controling type

That's not really a clan per se, but you can call it what you want. People like me and aldo will get confused though.
-
KOTOR 2 was a bit addicting, kinda wimpy ending especially with all the events leading up to a great climax.

I'd say that you should play it unless you're the type who likes to find out every wee secret in the game. It's pretty satisfying if a bit linear. BTW play the PC version which is much better than the xbox version.
So KotOR2 is a good game then? Interesting... Heard it was a bit of a wet paper bag.

KotoR2 is good until the last quarter or so, which pretty much ruins it. The initial storytelling stuff is good - better than the first, because it throws in some genuine moral uncertainty - but it sets up a whole bunch of story threads that are never resolved, and which spoil the game.
Basically, when you finish, you're left with no idea what just happened or why.
So... first 3/4 = 9/10. Last 1/4 = 1/10.
-
meh, when i get it maybe I can make heads or tails of it. :p

That sounds familiar actually, a few reviews slated it because they reckon it was rushed. probably were going well and some asshat marketer told them that it had to be ready 2 months ahead of schedule.

Lucasarts didn't have any games scheduled for Christmas-time, that's why...........
-
are there any plans for a 3rd one?

It sold well, so I'd say its a good bet there will be a 3rd in the series.
-
I bet this is what the next SW movies are gonna be based, since the original SW people are getting old. Would be pretty cool.:D

Yup, hit the nail on the head.
However, the first 3/4ths of the game (up to the point where the Jedi assemble on Dantooine) is definately good enough to buy the game for.
Even the last chunk of the game still has some good parts, and there's a fan project restoring the segments unimplimented due to Lucasart's rushing the game for X-Mas:

Overall, KOTOR1 and 2 are much better than a good chunk of the Starwars films. I'd love to see a movie or series on the Mandalorian Wars.
-
Wow this didnt get flamed or locked.. im impressed.
Cobra, wtf? We need to talk.
Star wars 3 rocks...
-
I'm actually playing through KOTOR2 again now.
After doing good and bad, I'm going through again as good.
This time I'm doing it as a Guardian Female though. Few new amusing convo's already.
After seeing Ep3 starting to forgive StarWars. If they stick to action they are alright. Any attempt at an actual plot and they kinda ruin it, with the movies anyway. :p

That team is a Godsend.
Seriously the next best thing since the Holovan labs were founded.
(The later is IMHO the equivalent for KOTOR what HLP is for Freespace. Unfortunately SCP isn't going yet, but their modding provress is *impressive*.)
-
i think the "impressive" should be "impressive. most impressive." :p :D
