I've been messing around with a new scout fighter class. It's an upgrade to the Angel design.

Hell, at 150 polys you can afford to refine the detail some. Maybe add some shape to the secondary pods on the top or some primary mounts on the outer hull. You've got plenty of polys to burn, might as well use them =)

Pretty cool ship... what's the inspiration? From that underside pic it looks like a sparrow or a swoardtail (maybe I have the wrong names for the birds I'm thinking, but it definately looks like a bird).
Is the ship going to be fast... it looks like it.

Very nice work. Texturing is a real pain indeed- except for that granite-looking texture on the bumps on the wings and the blue cockpit, it looks excellent. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

Yea, I was going a really dark blue, close to black, but that was nothing doing with only 256 colors (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/frown.gif)
Speaking of which, why can't we use higher res bitmaps?
