Forgive me if I missed this in a readme somewhere but...
in FS2 open - did they make changes to the ships that attack / number of ships that attack / loadout available?
I remember that in one of the interceptor missions, just after the big C shows up you have to escort 3 freighters and the finale is that a leviathan shows up and you have to take out the forward beam cannon. I KNOW - that in the standard version you could bring stelitto II bombs with you - but I was shocked to see that I was stuck with just harpoons.
Also in the first SOC mission I don't remember having to blast asteroids (but that could be the fog of 2 years since I played it last) I also do not remember 2 Vasudan cap ships warping in, as well as all the shivan bombers. Again, I could be wrong on that one.
If the changes were made - big thumbs up guys! It made the game a lot tighter and closer the story in the briefings.

To the best of my knowledge, nothing gameplay-wise was changed in the main campaign. The for the second Colossus mission (freighter escort) you may be flying the wrong ship if you can't select the stilletto missiles, or you're thinking of the mission before it. As for the First SOC mission, what you're describing sounds right (what did you remember if you didn't remember the asteroids OR the Vasudans?) There shouldn't be any shivans in that mission, but the Vasudan bombers used there look a lot like Shivan ones.

Stiletto IIs shouldn't appear in that mission.
In the first SOC mission, the bombers you face are GVB Sekhmets. They are vasudan but look shivan.
edit: Looked at the wrong mission. silly me.

OK, I guess there was more of a Vasudan presance - but the stilletos I know I couldn't pick - and also i could pick them in later missions.
The perseus can equip the stilleto bomb - but it wasn't even in the list of choices...
maybe it was just a temporary bug - the first time I played the mission where the big C comes in - (save enif station) the big C didn't fire its weapons - the second time through it did.
Also in the tag missle test, delta 1 didn't warp out, so the moloch class corvette never showed up and the aquatain just sat there while endless wings of astheroths (sp?) spawned - again, on a second run through it was fine -
so perhaps it was just a bug - I didn't even bother doing the mission again, as I easily took the beam out with harpoons and prometheius shots

If it wasn't in the list of choices, it wasn't in the mission. Phreak's pretty much confirmed it, it shouldn't be there. It's really that simple. As for the other bugs you listed, those are, well, bugs in the the missions themselves and/or the original game. The SCP has done nothing to make either of them more or less likely to occur.

You probably told everyone to ignore the Hawkwood. There's some bug since FS1 that will make all ships ignore anything that the player wants, say only Alpha 2 to ignore. Don't know how long it'll take to be fixed due to the way ignore is handled

dunno what happened here

Moloch turrets are really really easy to destroy
