Its summer...and I feel like a new game and I may just get one for the X-Box. Is there one definitive racing game out that that people can recommend for the X-Box?
Cheers!
-
Forza Motorsports. Period.

Try the one with the extremely large room with the blue ceiling and intensely bright light.

Flatout! Realistic Damage modelling and ragdoll driver! I think its for the xbox, I'm not sure, I have it for PC, and yeah, try going outside too;)
-
Forza Motorsport and Rallisport 2 rock. Burnout 3 is also fun.

See thats the trick. My skin is so pale that I burn in under 10 minutes during High UV days. I do all my sports, excercise, running, and activity during the evening except when I have to and then its SPF 50 for me.
So don't get the impression that I hide out all summer long.
But I feel like some racing...

That game looks great...I'll check into it more. I just wish X-Box games were cheaper....very expensive at $60.
-
New ones or old ones? Here in Aus, they get released at AUD$99, but after a couple of months they usually sink down to AUD$50 or 60. $60 Canadian sounds a bit steep.
-
Forza is brand new, so it'll be a while before the price drops. EB Games, and EBX both wanted ~58.00 US for it. :blah:
I was going to buy it yetserday, but my better judgement tok hold. Thankfully.

Colin Macrae 04 is a tough challenge...
-
Rallisport 2 is old enough that you could probably get it for cheap... Buying used copies is good. Even though it's old, it's a blast.
-
Colim Mcrae 4 is indeed good.

Canadian Dollars = Aussie dollars, more or less.

Forza kills GT4. Especially since you can actually play online with it.
-
Oh dear, here we go.
-
I got both, Forza and GT4. I prefert GT4, don't get me wrong, the customization of Forza is insane and the driving and physics are top notch, but it seems to me that GT4 has that bit of style that makes the game better.

this from the guy everything thinks is on MS payroll

GT4 would be good if you could play online with it. However, you can't.
I perhaps have a slight bias, living in Redmond...
:D

And being Gates' illegitimate child... :nervous:

Forza has indeed gotten stellar reviews.
I still enjoy Burnout 3 on the xbox. Fantastically executed online and offline modes.
Need for Speed underground was good, not sure about NFSU2.
The Colin Mcrae (sp?) games ave all been solid racing games. I believe 4 is a budget title, 20 bucks.
The Corvette game was supposedly actually VERY good, albeit it short with no damage physics, but good nonetheless.

Any of the Burnout series are awesome (burnout 3 is by far the best though)
Need for Speed underground 2 is cool and so is Midnight club 2 and 3 if you like games where you customize like crazy.
Rallisport 2 is currently my favorite racing game (that I own)
I've also heard rave reviews about Forza motor sport
For an arcade-ish racer, midtown madness 3 is king.
