Looks good and (I suspect deceptively) simple to texture.

Gonna make any more? I full support the addition of new species to FS2, of any stripe.

Somehow they look a bit familiar, but I suppose that's just my mixed-up memory. And perhaps a model overdose caused by trying to catch up with 5 years of FS2_open :D

Looks really smooth and clean, me liiiiikessss. (just too bad the chances of me seeing those glows ingame in the next year are <<< 0.0000001)

Dreadfaq; Glowmapping works no matter what; even when shinemapping doesn't.

Kie: AFAIK it's original. The name is all I stole.

BW; Thankie. And Possibly. It all depends. As for it being simple to map, well, I only made the map in the span of ~2 hours. I also made sure to make the UV fairly easy to do, since I hate complex UV maps, when there's no need for them.

Actually, its kinda reminiscent of the gunship from Aliens.

I like it...I stuck it in a Valkyrie table. Came up with some Imperial Reptan Fighter designation (just so I'd have something to call it...).

I can't find actual thruster models in modelview. I can see the thruster points, but that's it.

I'm not sure where the error lies, but other ship's thrusters show up fine.

Um... That's what I meant. I don't make actual geometry thrusters, since I think they look ugly, especially with long plumes. :)

It is all becoming clear now.:)

I'll have to look into why they aren't showing up then.

EDIT: It appears to be a bug with my SCP build. The thrusters only show up if I'm flying the default ship for the mission.


I named it the Komodo for my tables. I wouldn't mind seeing a reptilian species with pink lighting and based off Japanese history. You could make their homeplanet water with very little land. Just a thought I'm throwing out, it's your work. Great stuff...

Hey Raa,

   Would it be alright to snatch this ship up as a future Gorn fighter for Trek? It definately looks reptiel-like and I also like the high techish feel although it screams simplicity.. Plus the Big Lizards need something futuristic...

I tried it out and noticed the thrustes seemed really big so maybe I'll make them 75% to 50% size and also cause it is soo dark I may lighten the texture contrast a bit if that's ok with you?
