It's just that my point is that I went to the access point and there were people logged on and Sniper was hosting a server (and it's number was 3, so I assume that meant 3 people were there). Sooo.. Yeah. ><
If I could figure out how to do an IP game I could get there... Please for the love of god dont tell me it needs IPX. IPX = EVIL.

You add the server's IP to options->Multi

I did, but I dont see a direct connect option... I probably need to set it up in the launcher.

go to options in fs2, then go to multi. select the thing you use for direct ip and put in the server ip. :)

Okay... I selected TCP
Entered the IP (minus the port, thinks its invalid with it)
I went to server browser, nothin. Refreshed about 20095820 times, nothin. Anythin I'm doin wrong?

I've edited the first post to point to Game Warden as well. IP games aren't your only option any more. :)

Also, that game has been running for over a week now. you can be sure it's not there.

I keep getting hacked tables errors nomatter what, anyone know what could casue this?

Dont use MV_Music and all tables should check out.

A rogue ships.tbl could also do that. Do a search in your freespace2 folder for *.tbl try moving anything you find (or better still rename it to *.tblDisabled) and see if that helps.

I ovverode the tables in media vp's by extracing the ones from the root_fs2.vp and duimping them in tables, is there some problem with doing things this way?

it shouldnt hurt, if at all it should help since the vanilla SCP tables are among the sets I validated. try removing your scp media VPs, if it works slowly add them back until you find the culprit.

hmmm. i get the hacked tables message even though i downloaded and installed the tables as recommended in the game warden thread.
not using any vp's other than stock right now.
any ideas?

Validation might be broken. It hasn't been very reliable in the past, ask on GW if you're using their server.

I gave it a try and got the same message myself last night. I know for a fact I don't have any rogue tables as I searched and I'm also using the 3.6.6 VP files.
I wonder if the problem is that I turned off a couple of them.

If you are having problems download the tables in my FAQ and REMOVE your SCP media VPs. Validation should work. Slowly add the VPs back again until you have found the culprit one.

Hello, I am new here and I have noticed that there are'nt many players in FS2NetD. Would it be wise to create a new thread, where players can write the time at which they usually play (GMT of course) , so we can gather around all of us, and play some coop or TvT?
Believe it or not, the hacked tables error appears because of the "mv_music.vp". I tried to remove one by one, and this is the one.

The MV_music.vp causing the hacked tables error is known... as for the thread, there is a thread for it at the Gamewarden forums (see matthewpapa's sig) and I think therre should be one around somewhere here too... probaly at page 10 or so though... (someone else do the welcoming things :P )

as noted in my post I have only stock stuff, execpt for the recommended 3.6.5 Taylor build. I get the hacked tables message. Any help? Thx.

go to your freespace2\data folder, there is a file called Tvalid.cfg there... open it with note/wordpad. you can see there which tables are valid/invalid.
also, I don't know which build you are using, but you might give this one a try...(yes, using the wrong build can cause hacked table error..) It contains quite some MP fixes....

Eh, I got a problem. Now, I know it's up again, but it's still giving me a connection failed. I thought about getting a new account and trying that.. but I dunno how to log out ><. I tried using the IP thing with that one game running (dunno if it still is), and FS2NetD must make it so people cant IP game with someone using FS2NetD. So THEN I tried using the config file from the readme, still nothin'. So uh.. Little help?

Make sure you have fs2open_pxo.cfg configured for the Game Warden server.
The other one doesn't work.

Old FS2NetD is [up] since yesterday :) and it have all our statistics!
So we have two NetD servers now. Which should we use... oO

LOL, we now have more servers than we have players.
Didn't see this day coming when we all were crying the death of PXO :)
edit: I ain't complaining tho :D Good to see that server up as well.
