Render by Setekh
Model by me
-
Reminds me of a giant Nahema/Sekmet.
-
It is a Sekhmet. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

Now with Added Spikes!!
That's what I get for glancing over it and not examining it in minute detail. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/lol.gif)

That's a ditto ("http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/Forum17/HTML/000004.html#7")[/url] there. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)

Ahh man, the thrusterflames are textured as well. Tsk tsk.

I hope it's not going to try to move anywhere then. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

Caveat Emptor.

Is this a Shrike & Setekh private party, or can I join in? (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
I think it's very cool looking (another model that looks like it belongs in the FS universe... but then that's obvious since it came from a FS universe model (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif))...
... and its a very scary looking ship with all those spikes!!
How big is this thing?
Joe.

I'm so proud. I was the first to notice (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/rolleyes.gif)
-
The map is wrong I think, you should try another one...

That's what happens when we're alone on this board. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

It's 3661 m long. The thrusters are covered w/ the main tex because I converted the model to COB from the Sekhmet POF using Kazan's rehash of the old POF2COB (this is before the POFCS included a converter) so I couldn't remove them. The thrusters are where the Sekhmet's missile banks were. It has new skins different from these, but they were not featured in this pic because Setekh did not have them at the making of this render. Here's the new skins: (http://www.3dap.com/hlp/hosted/gtdwolf/cernunnos3.gif) And Setekh, I do want more renders, I just made this before to show everyone the skins.

Ahh, so it flies backwards from the original Sekhmet design.

Exactly. Hence the fact those three huge beam cannons point forward.

Awwww, shoot. Not again! (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)

That reminds me of an idea I had a while back. Why doesn't someone make a mod with some ship which has lots of turrets - basically have lots of little beams that fire really quickly, with a low lifetime. So you get the cool effect of all these different beams going off and blasting a ship. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
-
I did that for the main guns on the Magellan- two parralel beams- a firing lifetime of 1 second max and a fast recharge rate. looked pretty cool.
-
I would imagine... give us a test mission, I wanna see (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)
-
Bah! I did that for my Ursa...

The Cernunnos should be fairly interesting in a fight, because it's mainly going to be using SAAAs and SReds, w/ maybe a few BReds thrown in, 4 Flak turrets, and the main guns. On second thought, no BReds.
