Well I finally got around to selling some stuff on ebay. I had about $24 worth of auction items end last night. I discovered today to my great dismay that paypal charges a rediculous 2.9% and $0.30 for all incoming credit card payments. This is the biggest racket I have ever seen in my life. Here is why.
Auction 1
8.00*.029 + .30 = $.53
Auction 2
9.00*.029 + .30 = $.56
Auction 3
3.00*.029 + .30 = $.38
Auction 4
4.00*.029 + .30 = $.42
So this basically means that I have to give them 2 dollars (10% of my hard earned $$$) just so I could use their crappy online banking service to get a credit card payment. What a rip off

Welcome to online merchant banking.
It sucks monkey balls.

's why you should accept money orders. :p

Or deal with higher priced items. Honetsly I love paypal and Half.com. I buy and sell my school books online and it saves me a fortune, while ****ing the bookstore over in the process. I love the Internet. ;7

paypal is only usefull if you do bulk sales, or if you buy things.

I tried to push paypal to paypal transactions when I used ebay alot. I made about $300.00 total I only got about 8 or maybe 9 credit card payments through the whole ordeal (about 40 or so sells) and made sure to accept checks and money orders as well.:D
