Title: To the People of the SCP
Post by: Descenter on June 09, 2005, 05:10:09 pm
To the people that made Freespace 2 even better by modifing it to where it is a completly different game from when Volition and Interplay released it, and to the people that have helped make it better in general, I think a warm round should go out.  They have always pushed to fix bug and find someway that woulod make FS2 better with each build that is released.  That takes real devotion to the game, and it impresses me enough to have said this.. Thanks Guys for the Ramped Up Version of FS2!!!:D

...(claps loudly in front of the computer)...

YAY! GO SCP!

I think it's the 2nd best thing to happen to Freespace. The best thing that happened was that it was created. ;) :P If you want to be pedantic about it, it's the 3rd best because there are two Freespace games...but.. --pedants. :D

Was Silent Threat a bad expansion or something? ;(

Silent Threat was a great premise dreadfully executed. Silent Threat Reborn is FSPort's attempt to execute the premise correctly.

I'd complain about how long Goober is taking with it but I'm well aware of damage that might do to my glass house :)

Silent Threat had no cutscenes. Some of the extra movies on the disk can be downloaded via my FAQ in avi format though.

My trick for the ST final mission is to fly a Zeus armed with Interceptors, Phoenix, and Tsumanis, then PromS & Banshee as primaries.  As the station is going down, make sure to give either the "Ignore my target" command, or "form on my wing" to try to get them clear of the explosion.  Order all bombers to attack the Hades, while you order all the fighters to cover the Orff when it jumps in.  Prioritize the Zeus bombers heading for it.  As the number of friendly fighters goes down, you may have to divide your time between covering the bombers and covering the Orff.  Keep this up and eventually the Hades should go down.  When you get moment, use your Tsunamis on the Hades' nearby turrets.

As FireCrack points out, we will never have enough of these. You should see how hard the coders work in their internal, not to mention the sheer difficulty of programming on a project of such complexity as this... it's awesome stuff.

Those are the three most important. There is another one which features a marine running down a hall (which all of the hegamonia team should definately see). I'll have to see how much I can compress that one. If I can compress it sufficiantly I'll add it to the pack.

The other two are just test renders of a giant letter c eating someone etc so I didn't bother to include them.
