I don't know where to start this off. And with the community growing like this and me being vacant at HLP a lot of the time, I wouldn't expect everyone to know who I am.
I stole this account from my father when he decided to quit HLP after losing his teaching position a couple of years ago in order to provide more for his family. This account has a bit of history behind it. My father was one of the first people at HLP (year 2001) who moved over months before VBB shut its doors. And looking at some of the other people from that era, a lot of them have posts in the thousands, if not tens of thousands. But I'm still here at the humble hundreds. Honestly, I don't post a lot and find spamming forums to be undesirable.
My father and I have made several contributions to pre-FSO Freespace 2, and most of them were models. Most of them were trashed but a few still remain in the hands of the Inferno team, so you should see some of my or my father's work when the campain is done (mostly Shivan strike crafts). My father started a short-lived campaign named Attempted Suicides, which died about a year later. The unfinished campaign (many missions were finalized already) still sits on my computer back home, but I have no intentions of releasing them anytime soon.
So what is this about? There's close to no meaning to introducing myself anymore. I'm sad to report that I myself will leave HLP permanently. Being a student at Johns Hopkins University is draining to say the least, and I just don't have the time anymore. But I will swing by and check on the progress of FSOpen and Inferno from time to time, and play your campaigns as you complete them.
I have to thank many of my comrades here and former comrades who have left HLP before me (Venom, as my father remembers him, etc.). Kudos to your work and support for making Freespace 2 alive and better than ever! Keep up the good work! I'll leave you to your n00b swarm here. Try not to get eaten alive!

Indeed, it was good having you around - if only for a short while. Even if you feel like all your time is being taken away, don't be surprised if you find yourself casually cruising through the net one day and stumbling across your bookmark of us. Drop us a post every now and then, okay?
