1987 Opel Manta GT/E 2.0 Injection.
I saw one in The Professionals last week so that makes it cool (which in turn, makes me cool) ;)
If that wasn't enough it's Rear Wheel Drive too.
You can see the birds have left their mark on the windscreen already

Corolla. Got sick of lookin' for one. Since Initial D came out the value of the old RWD Corollas has gone through the roof.

For some reason, I thought I was going to see an engine. :p

Ah, that's right. The ae86 craze, yes?
Bunch of ricers. :p

BRING BACK THE PINTO!!!!!1111!1!1111

Foreign license plates are so unpretty. :p

You DO know what reputation Opel Mantas (and it's drivers) have in Germany, right ?
-
Rally drivers in training? :p
The rear looks nice, reminds me of an 80's Porsche, but what were they thinking when they designed that frontend? :ick:

 I agree, they're so...plain. Quite a few states are guilty of that as well though, unless you want to pay extra.

Well I'm in Blighty so, no. I take it they're individuals of exceptional taste ?

Yeah. Three years ago a nice solid Ae86 could be had for £2,000.
No chance of that now.
Mantas are quite similar tho. Saloon based with a decent chassis and some Rally heritage.

Suprised if you can get that past your first emissions test.

Already have done.

My first proper car was an Opel Ascona - not as fast, but better looking imho....

Emissions are so more lax in the UK from what I've read. They're not strict like NY/NJ/CA. I've even heard of people able to legally use straight pipes in place of catalytic converters... :o

Nice cars, especially the Rally Slag Ascona 400.

Legally so long as no one finds out. They have to keep 'em and put 'em back on come test time.
Uk doesn't quite have the same smog issues as the big US citys tho

That's a number plate, not a license plate. :p And they're actually legible from more than three feet away, unlike some.....
Roanoke: Interesting choice. Fugly as all hell, but it'll go rather nicely. Just don't crash it - they'll have to scrape you up with a spatula...
One thing I will say is: WHITE!! Why is it white!? That's the worst colour a car can be! You'll be cleaning it more than driving it...
Ashrak: Peugot 607? Ye Gads, man - that's possibly the worst car Peugot have ever made (and that's saying something)!
