After reading the "My New Motor" thread I got an idea...
What does everybody drive?
2002 Ford Escape XLT AWD
Not as fun on the street as a car, but very good and safe for the family.

posted by me somewhere else:
I drive what should be a sports car, a '93 Ford Mustang hatchback, but it has a four cylinder engine and the speedometer only goes to 85 mph (that's slow kph). It has roll down windows, a sunroof with no cover that leaks in the rain, one wiper blade, no alarm, no remote to lock/unlock it, and just the right amount of scratches for me to not care if it gets more but still look good. It has a 5-speed manual transmission but still gets only mediocre gas mileage and until recently it was leaking anti-freeze. Despite this crappiness it has nice alloy wheels and wide tires that belong on a much faster car. To top things off, it's turqoise.
I've changed the wiper blades and fixed the antifreeze leak since posting that, but it's still a pretty junky car. In a good way of course :D

I don't have a car. I don't want a car.
I wouldn't mind having a GTD Orion though........
-
I drive three cars.
1988 Chevy Caprice Classic. Status: Not street legal (is currently the 7th percentile of highest smog failures).
1991 Chevy Cavalier. Status: Inoperable (Blown head gasket, shot computer system).
1994 Lincoln Town Car. Status: Running on three wheels (rear right tire is almost always flat).
So right there, the cars I shouldn't, couldn't, and wouldn't drive, respectively.

1998 Peugeot 406 2 litre petrol, top-end model with aircon and alloys etc.

A bicycle.
Great workout, and I generally get to most places as fast as with a car, and during rush hour, even faster.
-
I take the BUS!
-
Nuffink ATM. The Alternator went on my old ****box, and the flywheels buggered on my new ****box, so until that gets fixed, I'm on shanks'.

I cycle or walk. I'm old enough to start driving lessons, but I still got to wait 2 more years to get my licence. I'm too busy to start learning, at the moment, and it's not as if public transport is that bad (and I've played The Last Tube!).

I like that! I wish my work was close enough to run or to bike to, but as is it takes about a 30 min drive to get there... I also live in a place where there are no busses. Sucks. Paying for gas sucks.
No one should be in a hurry to drive. :thepimp:

That's because it probably is one. The source gives me http://www.cars.com/features/2001overview/toyota/images/01_toyota_camry_386.jpg , which looks like a car magazine...

I drive a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT, with a heavily modified control system to accomodate for my physical disability. The total cost of the van and the modifications exceeds $100,000. How do I drive? CAREFULLY! XD

I drive a 1998 mercury sable which really is the same thing as the 98 ford taurus, as we found out both of our onboard ECM's have a serious flaw in them. (electronic control module, the "computer chip" if the car, which actually isnt a chip, it's a big silver box that sits in the firewall) For some reason, the stock ECM units would not throw a signal to the transmission to "downshift" when going down a hill, and the car would just run away like it was coasting down the hill in the overdrive gear. Installing a new ECM with an update fixes this problem but it's an expensive fix, $400.00 US. Plus, the new ECM's gave our cars about 5-10+MPG, and saves on the brake shoes as well.
I am not impressed with it though as on some occasions, the car seems to drive just fine, but rarely, it kinda "forgets" where it should idle at and just randomly shift into neutral and back into gear again. My dad had the crazy idea of putting 3 bottles of fuel injector cleaner into a fresh tank of gas to see if it would quit that. Strangely enough it did.

I drive a 2000 Chrysler Cirrus and a 2004 Dodge Intrepid.
