Title: The Golden Rectangle
Post by: Sandwich on June 12, 2005, 03:22:16 am
I just realized that today's widescreen LCDs, with their 16:10 ratios (1920x1200 pixels @ 23"/24", 1680x1050 @ 20.1") are very close to the Golden Rectange ratio of (approx.) 1.618:1! Ideally, the resolution would be 1941x1200, but I'm willing to overlook their sins.

This means that when I get my widescreen monitor, my eyes will have perfect sight, my homework will be done, and HLP will never go down again*!

Aren't you excited for me!??!?

:nervous:

* as long as I have a web browser opened to HLP.

I am, but only if you turn your screen through 90 degrees....

It actually can (will be able to? I don't have it yet...), though it looks ridiculous.
