Can someone please tell me that they know what US federal agency is responsible for managing/approving landfills? I need to know for a homework assignment. And yes, I've already searched many a time.

I think it is the Environmental Protection Agency.

Um, you sure?

I mean, I've checked their website, and I havn't seen any specific references to Landfills in general, though they do talk about municipal solid waste.
