Title: *hates Modelview*
Post by: Taristin on June 14, 2005, 07:15:34 pm
It's the most decent program I've ever seen to view and edit models. I love the interface, I love how everything is set up in an easy to understand way. I hate, however, that it has a memory leak the size of the Mississippi river!

Look!

Left side is with modelview running, and moving the model a few times. Right side is shortly after closing it.

Yeah, I hope that one day the SCP decides to develop proper non-buggy Tools to mod Freespace.
Currently all of the good editing programs could be described as late beta states at the most. Most of the programmers get tired of working on the things after a while too. =/

join the club - we have jackets.

honestly though, modelview (on my comp) constantly crashes my computer, fails to load textures, only loads the engine trail-models of various fighters, $%*#s itself with n e thing over 1000 polys... i could go on, but i might go into a frenzy of kicking and biting and throwing modelview out the window...
