You could go _____ ________ with it

HL2, Far Cry, Halo, etc. Any recent shooter should do it. That's a very nice machine, by the way - very similar to mine. I've got an X800 instead, and it's a beast. I've not benchmarked it, but you should get maximum settings on Far Cry and the like with no problem...
-
Donate it to me, for rendering...
-
Hmmm...play EVE.
-
play Minesweeper

btw this (http://aspireusa.net/product.php?pid=145&xcSID=2797f9fb59474eb640b50c7189a6a01d) is the case im using, id recomend it to anyone building a smaller than normal rig. the airflow is really good. you just have to make sure all your hardware fits thats all.
-
If it can run Pacific Fighters with all the settings maxed out and maintain a solid 60 FPS, that rig can do anything.
-
That's a weird case - I haven't seen anything like that before. Small cases tend to be of the overly-trendy variety, ie chrome, chrome, black and more chrome. That one's pretty cool.

i wanted something that would be easy to carry to move around and wouldnt take up too much space, unlike my other computer which is big, ugly, and quite massive. this case is somewhat smaller than i thought. micro atx does kinda limit your motherboard choices, i had to use a 9.3" x 9.3" mobo (the biggest it would support), but being an msi board with an ati express 200 chipset kinda makes up for it. anyway i need to re-open the case and reposition my tempurature sensors, i dont think they are working properly.
-
*sigh* I want to build one. Can I ask, how much, roughly, this set you back?
-
only about $900
-
That's quite good. I wonder if I should tap into my funds........
-
That's really quite a nice case.

maya maya maya maya!

Battlefield Vietnam
Battlefield 2.0 (when it comes out)
Quake 4 (when it comes out)
Call of Duty
Il-2 Sturmovik
Solitaire :p
Half Life 2
Aliens vs. Predator 2
Pretty much any game will work on a machine like that. You could also send it to me. ;7

im going for a case like that actually .... but ill OC my A64 to like 4000+ :) a 3000+ one ... ill just clock the ***** to like 2600mhz
-
And my desktop is still putting along with a 4 years old Celeron...... :nervous:
-
bah, all the games at the best store in town are a generation old. il have to aquire them by alternate means, if they dont like it they can go play nukemod :D

BOINC (http://boinc.berkeley.edu/)
-
what's the motherboard in it?
-
I'm going to take a wild stab and the dark and say it's probably this one:
http://www.msicomputer.com/product/p_spec.asp?model=RS480M2-IL&class=mb
It's MSI, Micro ATX and it has the ATi XPRESS 200 chipset in it.
-
yup thats the one. its a good board too.
-
What kind of integrated radeon card is it? o.O
-
Awesome, that case looks like a Gamecube on steroids.

The MSI site doesn't really give much info on it. From what it does give, I'd say it's something relatively modern (Pixel Shader 2.0 support has only really become an issue recently), probably an X800 derivative or something:
Video
3D Graphics
• Full DirectX 9.0 Support (Vertex Shader v2.0 and Pixel Shader v2.0) with full precision floating point pixel pipeline, up to 4 Multiple-Render-Targets (MRTs)
• Supports Microsoft's next generation GDI+user interface and support resolution up to 2536x2536@32bpp
2D Graphics
• Highly optimized 128-bit engine capable of processing multiple pixels per clock
• Game acceleration including support for Microsoft's DirectDraw, Double Buffering, Virtual Sprites, Transparent Blit, and Masked Blit.
• Supports a maximum resolution of 2048x1536@32bpp
• Support for new GDI extensions in Windows® XP: Alpha BLT, Transparent BLT, Gradient Fill
For integrated video it seems pretty respectable though given that it's from ATi, a company whom vide cards make up a large part of their business, I'd expect that if one thing on this chipset were to be any good it would be the onboard graphics (same applies with nVidia and nForce). In any event though, plugging in a seperate videocard usually disables the onboard so it's likely Nuke isn't even using the onboard video.
-
no, its pretty much disabled. i was originally gonna get another bored without onboard video but decided on an msi instead. who knows it might come in handy eventually.
