After helping her self into the after-hours entrance of Roberts' jewelery shoppe, Emma finds that the local guardsmen have taken a keen interest in her and her acquisition. She of course offers it back for inspection... but only if they ask politely first. A friend requested a character sketch for a roguish character, this is what I was able to come up with. Chalk and Charcoal, Painter IX.
It's not Freespace related *at all*, but I figure I'd throw some art up here for a bit just to see what you all think.
-Comments and Crits Welcome-
Edit - Tried to fix the nose a little based on comments. What's a little digital plastic surgery between friends?

THere's something quite odd about the placement of the eyes, but otherwise IMO it's brilliant work.
-
The nose isn't centred in between the eyes. But I think it's deliberate; it gives the sideward glance an interesting look.
It's awesome. :yes2::yes:

The nose thing spoils it quite badly, but it's fantastic apart from that. :eek::yes:
EDIT: Actually, now that I look more closely, it's the position of the mouth - it's too far over to the side. Combined with the large shadow of the nose, it looks odd.

Really nice, but like was previously said, the nose is off. It should be coming out straight farther, and covering the eye a little :) Really nice though :)

She's supposed to have a bit of a smirk to her... maybe I'll make those cheek lines darker...

And there's the inks... where (I think) the nose looks fine... I suppose I should add more details to my inks before trying to render, blah.

Everything is done well, but it looks like you added the face as an afterthought.
And the smirk, can still be ok, if th emouth is centerred.

The whole perspective is off, not just the nose. For exemple, considering the angle on the breasts, compard to the knees, the shoulders should be at level, etc.

I think it's mainly the right (viewing) eye; it looks a bit far out from the centre of the nose, IMO.
