Yes...but how!!!!!!
BTW; Not sure how to use PSP7.0 (for that is what I use) to make beams... plus I want to try and add vsible lighting from the beam.
-
well i dont know how to make the beams glows - i not sure if you can with treuspace - but - i did that one with just a long thing cylinder textured brightly put a little ball at the end although dont need that really cause you will make the glow in psp7. then just use the illumination effects sunburst put ot over the bit you want to glow and get the size rights and all pic the colour you want then do it again abit small in the smae place but white making the beam look like its glowing hmmmmm difficult one - let me think about it

That's how I did my only attempt so far.... I was hoping to find a way to kind of 'shine' or reflect a light down the inside of a tube, like a flourescent (?) light.

ok whats your icq# casue i have a plan (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif) its not prefect but probally as good as you will get with truespace
-
we need to be able how to figure everything out to have it done in TrueSpace so we can do it dynamically [animations]

I've been able to get lights showing up properly - simple stuff but a good start for me (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif) - although I need to do some work on perfecting the size / colour before I render anyhting with them.
Unfortunately, TS seems to like to have lights of a uniform size (i.e. a circle) - otherwise I could have tired using a light 'tube'..... I'll keep on experimenting a wee bit and see what I can do (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)

well try this...use a blur on the beam from psp 7, then a diffuse gradient glow from Eye Candy 4000, and use lights in truespace 4.2 around the beam.

What!?!? I'm not crazy, but the rest of you are! =)
