Title: Freespacezone.com's account is suspended
Post by: LOA--Paul on July 04, 2005, 05:22:03 pm
I think I caused, I posted a major pimping thread at several forums, with each thread averaging ~600 views.  Each one was like this http://www.genmay.net/showthread.php?t=548899 (copy and pasted for each)

A ton of people downloaded, hope the bandwidth can be payed for again soon :(

edit:  If they made a torrent of those it'd be good too

OMFG. They don't use Acenet as host do they? Acenot sucks! A forum I know has the exact same error message (forums.totalfreaks.com). Acenet wants 100 euros a month to host it now, which is way too much, and they GAVE NO REASON for it either.

That's why I didn't pimp it out myself. I prefered to keep it in the community so that only people who came here could be directed to it.

The general rule of thumb, is that if it isn't your webspace, you don't use up the bandwidth. Game-Warden went down because someone posted the ISO's on somethingaweful's forums. Most of the people who download it will probably forget what it was in a few days, and delete it. Pimping FS2 in general is great, but going around saying, "Here's a good game you can download for free" is not.

So now it appears that the bandwidth has reset, but the ISO's are gone for everyone.

There's two decent torrents on http://mininova.org for FS1 Battlepack and FS2 they're ISO's.

There aren't any seeds for the FS1 torrent though.

Have you actually tried this download yourself (or know someone who has?) cause if it's good I'll add it to my FAQ.
