Well, contrary to popular belief using a friendly distro like Mandriva or Suse isn't tough at all. Don't think using Linux will make you cool though, that'll make you a Ricer (http://funroll-loops.org/). :p

Post by: achtung on July 05, 2005, 02:00:27 am: I always thought of how funny it seemed that whenever I'm around a person on or near their pc i ask them the same damn thing "do you use firefox?" Some people look at me and turn their heads in a funny way, some say yes and after the question there is usually a conversation concerning firefox, or they say they hate firefox which at that point my head bursts into flames and they are violently attacked with a birrage of words defending firefox.

I'm trying to break that habit though :D

WHy couldn't they use the GT-R, or the Version-R? Why make fun of the only serious honda ever made? :p

Also; *didn't realize computer geeks could be termed as ricers, too. Along with all of those real ricers out there...*

Hey, THAT's what I'll do with my old P3-600 box! Make a gazilion different Linux partitions for a bajillion different Linux installs, so I can mess around with EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM for whole MINUTES of solid learning experience! :D

How about Ubuntu? (http://www.ubuntulinux.org)

Very easy, imo. Very painless install. although, sudo-ing get annoying in the long run. Has a livecd so no need to install to test.

I've gone back to playing around with Crux (http://www.crux.nu).
